To achieve a smooth surface, flute filters with a matching profile were installed. Following this, Guycan added R18 insulation and then encapsulated the entire roof using a white single-ply PVC roofing system.

The Challenge

Challenges Presented by the Existing Roof

The building featured a fluted metal roof with a 2/12 slope. Accumulation of ice and snow on this surface resulted in hydro compression, causing fasteners to lift and potentially compromising the roof’s integrity. Heat loss through the roof assembly and visible rust were also identified as key problems requiring solutions.
